Fire Up Your Night by the Lake

"Paddled into Fire by the Lake around 6:30, and the place was already buzzing. The parking lot was packed, and only a few spots remained along the two piers for tying up. Inside, the restaurant was full of locals and folks who clearly had spent the entire day on the water — flip flops, sunburns, and tattoos everywhere. Despite the crowd, we were seated quickly. Service started a little slow, but given how busy it was, completely understandable. Drinks arrived fast, and our food followed in a reasonable amount of time, hot and fresh. I ordered the blackened fish sandwich, my go‑to. It was excellent — a generous portion of fish dressed simply with tomato, lettuce and a red pepper sauce. The onion rings were good, though I wouldn’t have complained about a few more. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, and the steamed broccoli and asparagus were spot‑on. The ambience is exactly what you expect from a lake restaurant: cardboard coasters stuck in the ceiling, simple décor, bar signs, and tables covered in local advertising. It’s casual, loud, and clearly a favorite among regulars. Overall, Fire by the Lake delivered solid food, friendly service under pressure, and that unmistakable lake‑life"

"This is one of my favorite places to eat now. Over a year ago I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal Syndrome and no longer am able to eat any red meat. This visit on Mother’s Day I ordered the Wonton Tuna appetizer. This reminded me so much of steak, the Smokey flavor the charred taste. It took me back to when I could eat steak. Thank you so much Chef for coming out to speak with me and everything we have eaten there is always so good! These are some of the other items we’ve had, and don’t miss out on the Southwest Egg-rolls. Now when I crave steak, even though I can’t eat it, I know where to come!"

"Good food. Good service. Giving them 5 stars but not the best I’ve ever had. Fish tacos are a little bland. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was great but there’s only 5 shrimp. Chicken was just ok. Burgers are prob the best thing on the menu - but it’s on the lake and had a great time!"
